About Me: I am Co-Founder of SPDHA and have served as Co-President in 1995, Vice-President in 1996, President in 1999 and Vice-President in 2002, 2005-2007. I was also nominated for Mentor of the Year for the Texas Professional Home Child Care Association conference in 1996.

The reason I entered the childcare profession was my love for children plus the desire to stay home with my own young children. I opened my daycare when my youngest child was born.

I strive to provide a loving, learning environment where the intellectual and social development of each child can be promoted in a positive and creative manner. I offer pre-school lessons three mornings a week emphasizing the basic concepts of shapes, letters, numbers and colors. We often have special parties and celebrate birthdays. Indoor and outdoor free play (as weather permits) with an ample supply of toys, books, manipulatives and play equipment is scheduled daily.

I am married to John for 26 years. He is currently a sales rep for Jones & Assoc. Together we are parents of Courtney, 24 yrs, Caitlin, 20 yrs and Christian, 18 yrs. and grandparents to Jakobe, 2 and Kynlei, 1.
